This is an intervention for reinforcing and repairing the structure of a multi-family building with 14 residential units and 2 commercial premises. The building has two entrances, but it is considered a single construction unit, so the intervention is carried out throughout the residential block. The need for this intervention arises from the necessity to address the concrete joists, as the presence of aluminous cement has been detected in one of them after laboratory analysis.
The action plan involves removing all false ceilings in wet areas, commercial premises, and residential units on upper floors to inspect the floor slabs thoroughly. Functional replacement of joists showing moderate deterioration will be carried out using a system of metal beams, while those with mild deterioration will be repaired with reinforced cement . Finally, in areas where no evidence of structural damage is found, false ceilings will be restored, leaving an access opening for periodic inspection, to be conducted at least every 5 years.
